Universal is a major distribution partner for leading fertiliser manufacturers and multinationals producing pesticides, weedicides and fungicides. Universal follows an aggregator model, procuring in bulk from the manufacturers and distributing the agro inputs to farmers through its sub-dealers and its own retail outlets.
Warehousing and C&F
As private godown operators, Universal acts as custodians of stock for principal companies. The principal outsources its logistics operations to Universal.

Rail Head Clearing
In rail head clearing operations, Universal primarily undertakes the work of handling stocks received through railway wagons. All formalities required for clearing stock from railway wagons, to storage of goods in warehouses is taken care of by Universal. Crucial aspects such as arranging for required labour and timely clearing of goods are handled efficiently by Universal.
Over a period of more than 25 years, Universal has acquired rich experience in rail head clearing operations, handling large quantities of MOP, DAP, UREA and Rock Phosphate at Coimbatore, Mettupalayam, Erode and Salem Railhead points for IPL, SPIC, KRIBHCO, Southern Phosphates Ltd., and MCF Ltd. This amounts to more than 30000 M.Ts of fertilisers every year by wagons at Salem, Erode, Coimbatore and Mettupalayam Railheads.
